So off we went to Marymere Falls. Shouldn't be too hard. Just drive to P.A. and go about 9 miles out to get there. Riiiiiight...
First of all we have to cross a drawbridge. I have lived here all my life and never seen this bridge open. It didn't open when we went either. However we did sit there for 30-40 min waiting for some bridge work before we could continue on.
After we finally got off the bridge we kept going. Had a dumptruck pull out in front of us. No big deal. Till he lobbed the rock at my windsheild and left me with a nice crack to fix/replace. UGH!!
K, then there was the over turned motorhome on the road leaking oil and gas (which had us waiting 20 min trying to figure out what was going on). Hour wait or take the detour. DETOUR here we come.
But we did finally make it there. Got a nice good for us walk (except the baby who isn't that mobile yet, well not for that long a distance).
So I took some pictures to share with everybody, missed the resturant we wanted to go to on the way home, came back and was tired beyond belief. I'd been in the car most of the day!! Why was I tired?
Good day all in all. Just wish the whole windsheild thing hadn't happened.
Ah well, such is life.
